The usual exciting Club Races and in late August there will be a long-distance race, leave early and come home late. We’ve also planned for 2 cruising weekends this year. We’re also looking to possibly do a sail to Thornbury for lunch and swimming parties.
Hosting Guidelines
Crews of 2 – 3 boats (no more) decide on menu which consists of :
Appetizers (Chips, pretzels etc.)
Main course
Dessert
Everyone pays $20.00, (kids $10.00) including the people who host the dinner. When money is collected the dinner crew can be reimbursed from that money. If there is not enough money, Dan will issue a cheque. If there is too much money give to Dan to be deposited.
It is the responsibility of the people hosting the dinner to make sure the clubhouse has been cleaned and left in good order. All food should be removed from fridge unless it can be used by agreement of the next dinner hosts.
If the grass is long it may be necessary to contact the House Chair or for the hosts to cut the grass before the social (lawnmower in the shed).
The success of the club has always been because of the participation of our members so please do your part to keep it as the best sailing club on Georgian Bay.
